It will balance itself out but by that point you've already tweaked the tuning so when it does ease back to the original point it will end up sharp. With guitars that have a trapeze tailpiece, there's a lot of string between the bridge and tailpiece and that can cause tuning issues when you bend the strings: as you bend them you drag the string over the saddle and if the slot is cut incorrectly then it can pinch the string so that the balance of tension before and after the bridge is not what it was before, causing the string to sound flat. If we trust the the tech has done a good job with the nut, that leaves the saddle to look at.
Before you start spending money, the two points that are most likely to be the owners are the nut slots and saddle slots.
